Attorneys Pick Another Juror for Komisarjevsky Trial
Backup alternate juror is a 60-year-old college administrator.
The first backup alternate juror was selected today for the trial of Joshua Komisarjevsky, the second Cheshire home invasion defendant.
A source at New Haven Superior Court said the juror is a 60-year-old college administrator from New Haven.
Two more backup alternates still must be chosen for the jury. The trial is scheduled to begin in September.

Komisarjevsky may receive the death penalty for the triple homicide in 2007, in which Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her two daughters were killed.
Defense lawyers and prosecutors previously selected 12 regular jurors and six alternates.

The state used a peremptory challenge today, bringing prosecutors and defense attorneys even at 38 each. The defense and prosecution get a maximum of 40 to use to excuse jurors without stating a reason.
