A 44-year-old Meriden man was arrested this week after police traced inappropriate texts sent to a North Haven teenager to his cell phone over the course of a three week investigation. 

The sixteen-year-old female began receiving lewd images from an unknown source in November of this year, including shots of the sender's genitals. 

Police discovered that the pictures originated from Jose Colon's phone, and charged him with three counts of obscenity, three counts of harassment second degree, and three counts of disorderly conduct. 

Colon was released after being ordered not to contact the victim in the future.
