Police: Drugs Found After Teen’s Car Hits Cruiser

Unusual arrests and investigations from the area.

 

A 17-year-old was reportedly in possession of narcotics when his vehicle allegedly ran a stop sign and hit a Hamden police cruiser. The officer and the teen were taken to an area hospital, according to police.

A 31-year-old Stratford woman reportedly had seven outstanding warrants for her arrest. Milford police discovered this when they arrested her on a charge of sixth-degree larceny in relation to a theft of $76 worth of merchandise from J.C Penny.

A man who allegedly created a disturbance at the Milford mall was in possession of marijuana, police said. The pot was discovered when police searched the West Haven man.

An East Haven man who was charged in connection with two bank robberies during the past two months was arrested again this week on charges that he robbed another bank. According to police, he reportedly said he robbed the banks due to financial difficulties.

Two unidentified individuals reportedly made off with an undetermined amount of cash after they executed a Christmas Eve bank heist in Branford. Police reportedly responded to an activated alarm but did not see anything suspicious, so the robbery was not discovered until the next morning.
