A Message of Hope This Advent With Father Gubiotti on December 22nd

Rev. Jeffrey A. Gubbiotti, Pastor of Assumption Church in Ansonia, is coming to East Haven on Sunday, December 22, 2013 to preside during a special Advent Eucharistic Holy Hour: A Service of Joy, Healing, and Hope.  The liturgy takes place at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Road, in East Haven at 7 p.m.  Beforehand, in the church, the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) will be available from 6-7 p.m.  Several priests will be present to offer the sacrament.  

“This is a blessed opportunity to personally and prayerfully encounter Jesus, as we prepare for the celebration of Christmas,” said Rev. John L. Lavorgna, pastor of Our Lady of Pompeii.  “I invite everyone to join us and experience the embrace of God.  Spread the word, especially to those who may be hurting in some way or in need of feeling closer to  Our Lord.”

The event is free and open to all. The service will include appropriate music, prayers, and meditations; the Blessed Sacrament will be also be processed inside the church.
