North Haven Rotary Enjoys St. Patrick's Day Fellowship

Although the main focus of the North Haven Rotary Club is ‘service above self’, an important part of the fabric of Rotary is based upon fellowship.

The vast majority of club members work at full time professions in addition to participating in numerous club activities, fund raising events, and simple acts of charity.

Occasionally, the men and women of Rotary are joined by family members and other friends to relax and enjoy an evening of food, fun, and fellowship.

One such night took place on St. Patrick’s Day at 43 Broadway Bar & Grill.

Fouad (Fred) Hana, owner and chef at the recently renovated and very friendly establishment, served a mouth watering corned beef and cabbage with all the expected trimmings as the main feature, as well as egg plant parmesan for the non-meat eaters which was also reported to be quite delicious.

A special treat consisting of fried dough and whipped cream topped off the culinary experience.

The price of the evening out was kept to a minimum by Hana who had also been very supportive of the club’s Day of Wine & Roses last September.

At the close of the evening, Club President Debbie Volain recognized her host with a certificate of appreciation from the Rotary club.
