$9.23M Project Underway To Renovate North Haven's Fire Stations

The project will include the renovation of the fire department's headquarters and three volunteer fire companies' firehouses.

A $9.23 million project to renovate three firehouses in North Haven, along with the fire department's headquarters, is underway.

In January, at a referendum, the town approved spending $9.23 million to renovate the four buildings. Construction is now underway on North Haven's fire department headquarters and Montowese Volunteer Company's firehouse, while the renovation to firehouses for volunteer companies 3 and 4 should begin in September, according to The North Haven Citizen.

The project should be completed in May of 2014. Fire Department Lt. Paul Jamuszewski said the firemen appreciate the support of the town.
