Connecticut Irish Festival This Weekend In North Haven

The festival runs on Saturday and Sunday at the North Haven Fairgrounds.

This weekend at the North Haven Fairgrounds is the 2013 Connecticut Irish Festival, which claims to be the longest-running Irish festival in the country.

The festival runs on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sunday from 8:15 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets cost $12 per day and children under 16 get in free.

The event features live musicians, food, sheepherding demonstrations, a petting zoo, pony rides, children's games and hurling matches. There is also a 5k Road Race on Saturday to benefit the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (to register, click here).
