Children's Christmas Eve Service at St. John's

Children's Christmas Eve Service

Your children can experience the pleasure of an old fashioned Christmas pageant without all the rehearsals and hassle. Bring them to St. John's 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 24th dressed as an angel, shepherd or animal (ANY animal will do). All children present will be incorporated into a retelling of the Christmas story, complete with the Star and the Three Kings. Simple, familiar Christmas carols will be sung, and older children will provide instrumental music.

"It looks a lot like a pageant," says the Rev. Matt Lincoln, Rector of St. John's, "but it is not a performance by children for an audience. It is really a way for children to worship God by experiencing something like going to Bethlehem to see the Christ Child. That is why we invite them to participate without rehearsals. At the same time, grandparents get to see their grandchildren looking angelic!"
