Maybe now would be an appropriate time for Patch to organize volunteers to help deal with the thousands of stuffed animals swamping Newtown:
Newtown Social Services also is seeking other establishments to which to donate some of the thousands of teddy bears and other stuffed animals that have poured into town. Some will be brought to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Call 203-512-8866. An event also is planned Saturday at Edmond Town Hall to distribute some of the extra stuffed animals to all the children of Newtown. Volunteers were being sought to help sort out the items early Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Call 203-270-4330.
The bears collected by Patch will go to a holiday party for Newtown children that will be held in Cheshire (we don't want to add to the crush of people already in Newtown). The others will go to Connecticut State Troopers to keep in their cruisers for young victims of traumatic situations. What a great idea to donate others to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, and of course, to volunteer for sorting and distributing the bears. Thanks for the information.
looks like he snuck in the photo shoot.
