Rising Star Pageant at North Haven Middle School

On Nov. 13 at North Haven Middle School, girls between 2 and 12 are invited to participate in the Rising Star pageant, a fundraiser for the Miss Connecticut Scholarship Foundation. There are princess, petite, junior and pre-teen divisions. Competitions include an on-stage introduction, an interview, sportswear, casual wear and formal wear and community service, depending on the age of the competitor. The Miss Connecticut Scholarship program is a non-profit organization that raises college scholarships and promotes personal growth and development for girls and young women. It is an official affiliate of the Miss America Organization.
