The 2013 North Haven Fair Is Underway!

Fair season is in full effect and the 71st Annual North Haven Fair four-day event has something scheduled for everyone! Here's what you need to know about our hometown fair, which runs from Thursday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 8.

Rides, Games, Contests & More!

There will be a variety of rides and carnival games provided by Rockwell Amusements. All-you-can-ride bracelets will be available on Thursday ($20) and Sunday ($22).

There will also be contests throughout the weekend, including a kids' pie-eating contest, a Kids Toy Tractor Pull Contest (registration required) and a Ladies and Kids Skillet Toss (registration required).

Entertainment

Whether you love live music, pig racing or wrestling, there's a little bit of everything at the North Haven Fair. The World-Famous Wallendas Troupe offers daily shows of stunts and high-wire entertainment. Rosie's Racing Pigs will also race daily. 

Here are some of the entertainment acts that are featured on North Haven Patch's calendar of events: 

• Cash is King Concert (Johnny Cash tribute band) on Friday, Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
• Truckstop Troubadours Concert on Friday, Sept. 6 at 9 p.m.
• Tyler Farr featuring Kiley Evans Concert with two shows on Saturday, Sept. 7 
• Northeast Wrestling Match at the North Haven Fair on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 5 p.m.

Animals, Arts & Crafts and Vendors!

What's a fair without animals and homemade crafts? There will be agriculture and home arts exhibits as well as buildings devoted to showing off sheep, cows, rabbits and chickens! 

Old MacDonald's Farm allows you to get up close to the animals with a petting zoo where you can also see alpacas and baby chicks.

And don't forget to check out the vendor tents, too!
