Rollover on I91 Leaves One Dead, Many Injured

The North Haven Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle rollover with reports of numerous parties ejected on Interstate 91 southbound just past the exit 11 on ramp.

Engine 1, Emergency 1, and Truck 1 responded along with volunteer Engine 7.

Upon arrival a full size sport utility vehicle was found over the guardrail and down the embankment. Four occupants had been ejected from the vehicle, with one occupant self extricated. Three patients were transported in critical condition to Yale New Haven Hospital with one patient transported to Yale for evaluation.

North Haven Fire Department Paramedics pronounced an unknown occupant dead at the scene.

Connecticut State Police Major Accident division is investigating the cause of the crash.
