North Haven Health & Racquet Club Collecting Coats
Donation efforts underway at the NHHR.
A winter coat drive is underway at the North Haven Health and Racquet club, and you can get involved.
In an article published today in the CT Post-Chronicle, the event's two organizers, Chrissy Kanakis and Sarah Petela, were optimistic about the results of their effort:
“A lot of people are really helping with this,” said Kanakis as she and Petela looked over numerous items in the donation box...

“As the box is filled I take the things down to Community Services,” Kanakis said. “They distribute them from there.”
According to the article, the drive has collected fifty coats so far, and is eagerly awaiting more donations.

Earlier this month, NHHR held a charity Zumbathon to raise money for After the Storm, Inc., a charitable organization dedicated to helping cancer survivors heal from the effects of their diagnosis and treatment.
