Coming Soon: Metro-North Tickets Via Cellphone

Metro-North will kick off a pilot program next month, starting with Metro-North employees

Metro-North has plans in the works to make your ride even smoother. 

According to WTNH, Metro-North is working to offer ticket sales via smartphone. 

The article says riders will use a free application to purchase paperless tickets. 

Conductors will be able to validate the paperless tickets, WTNH says. 

Metro-North plans to kick off a pilot program next month, testing the cellphone ticket app with employees first, WTNH reports, before opening up the service to customers.
