North Haven Rotary Club Supports Autism Center

The North Haven Rotary Club donated to an area resource center for families dealing with autism.

Patricia Coppola, Director at the Autism Spectrum Resource Center, Inc. in Wallingford, accompanied by Monica Trischitti and her son Anthony, recently received a check from North Haven Rotarian Bernadette Casella to further the center’s work with families of children dealing with autism.

In accepting a donation from the service club a second year running, Coppola said, “This donation allows us to continue to help people like Anthony who has come a long way.”

She explained that the facility provides resources to families to learn about the disability, offers support groups for families to reach out to others, and provides guidance as how best to live with an autistic child. Cappola, a member of the Wallingford Rotary Club, briefly addressed the club regarding the center located in her community.
