North Haven Rotary Theme for Breakfast: A Salute to Our Veterans

The North Haven Rotary Club will honor veterans at their 4th annual pancake breakfast on Veterans Day by giving each veteran a free breakfast at the Middle School.

The Fourth Annual Pancake Breakfast will be held on Veterans Day this year, so the North Haven Rotary Club decided to honor the brave men and women who are serving or have served in our military by giving each of them a FREE ticket to the sumptuous all-you-can-eat breakfast to be held at the North Haven Middle School on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The idea was the brainchild of this year’s chairman of the event, Vice President Nick D’Ambrosia, who has announced that the Greater New Haven Rotaract Club, whose charter was sponsored by the North Haven Rotary Club last spring, will also hold their “5K Run” from the middle school that day.

Past President Rick DiNorscia stated that he is accepting donations for the annual raffle held at the breakfast which includes the popular sports baskets that he has provided each year. Once again, live entertainment will be organized by Mary and Mark Minotti through their music business. An additional feature this year for people of all ages will be the club’s first book fair. The proceeds from the $5 meal, which includes pancakes, sausage, orange juice, and coffee or tea, as well as the assorted fund raisers, will benefit Community Service Projects, such as the town’s Food Pantry, and the extensive scholarship program offered to high school and college students through the club’s own foundation. Tickets may be obtained from any of the nearly 50 club members, or by calling the chairman at 203-668-7811. For more about the club, go to www.nhrotary.org, or check their page on Facebook.
