Rotary Club Supports North Haven Senior Center

Every year the Rotary club donates money to support activities at the Senior Center.

One of several guests invited to receive a donation at a recent breakfast meeting of the North Haven Rotary Club, Judith Amarone thanked the local civic group for its donation, as well as its ongoing support. The center’s director also commended the group and complimented them while describing the club as “the best and most active Rotary club in the area.” She then described several of the ongoing activities at the center which their gift would support while indicating that community residents of all ages may participate. Pointing out that the youngest member is only 38 years old she added that he truly enjoys playing bocce with the senior members. As she wrapped up her brief comments, the director invited the club, as well as the public, to attend the annual craft fair at the center on Sunday, November 18th, which features numerous handmade items provided by the senior citizens, and closed by thanking the Rotarians for donating tickets to their ever popular pancake breakfast which was held on Veterans Day.
