UPDATED: 22% of North Haven Without Power as of Tuesday Morning

Following this weekend's storm, 22% of North Haven remained without power by 9:30 a.m. today.

According to UI, 22% of North Haven remains without power as of 9:30 a.m. today.

Of 11,050 properties served by the utility company, 2,439 are without electricity. At the peak of outages, that number was 7,181.

208 crews are currently dispatched across the region, consisting of 88 overhead line crews, 59 tree-clearance crews, 29 patrol crews and 32 service crews.

“We certainly understand that customers immediately want estimated restoration times and can become frustrated when they are not provided,” said Anthony J. Vallillo, UI’s executive vice president and chief operating officer this morning. “It was important to actually complete an assessment of the damage first and to give realistic timeframes. To provide times that were not based on known conditions, wasn’t the best course of action in our judgment.”

Orange currently has the highest percentage of outages in the area, with 74% of households reporting no power.
