Animal Haven Announces Statistics for 2011

North Haven's no-kill shelter released its adoption statistics for the year.

The Animal Haven, North Haven's no-kill animal shelter, released its adoption statistics for 2011 yesterday. 

In total, 475 animals from 27 Connecticut towns were taken into the shelter last year. 338 of those housed were cats, and 137 were dogs.

Of those animals, 458 pets—320 cats and 138 dogs—were placed with homes in 47 Connecticut towns and cities.

All dogs and cats put up for adoption were examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, and sterilized prior to placement. 

For more information visit The Animal Haven at 89 Mill Road on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m.
