Excessive Heat Warning in Effect Today

The high heat and humidity will continue until Sunday when more seasonal temps set in.

An excessive heat warning is issued when high humidities are expected to combine with hot temperatures to make it feel like it is 105 degrees or greater - and that is the case today. As such, authorities are asking people to be safe and do what they can to stay out of the heat.

Here's a quick look at what's in store for the weekend forecast:

Today: Mostly sunny, very hot and humid with daytime highs in the upper-90s. Heat indicies in excess of 105 degrees. Overnight lows will be cooling off into the upper-60s.
