A crash between a van and a pickup truck pulled over on the side of I-91 early this morning resulted in five people being sent to the hospital.
The pickup truck had stopped to repair a flat tire between exits 12 and 13 in North Haven when the accident occurred a little before 1:30 a.m.
The truck's four passengers were not in the vehicle when they were struck by the van.
