Five Things You Need to Know Today

Your daily update on what's going on in North Haven.

  • There will be a special meeting of the Board of Fire Commission at 4:00 p.m. in Town Hall. The meeting will begin with an executive session to discuss personnel issues of the Fire Department related to the retirement of Deputy Fire Chief Frank Gersz, whose last day on the force will be April 29. We'll let you know if any hiring announcements are made. 

 

  • A pasta dinner to benefit US Marine Sgt. Jake Chadwick will take place at Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Proceeds from the $20-per-person meal will go towards paying for a new kidney for Chadwick, who suffers from Rapid Progressive Glomerulonephritis.   • The Rotary Club will convene at 7:15 a.m. at the Breakfast Nook for its weekly meeting.

  • A bunch of varsity games today: boys golf vs. Sheehan at 3:00 p.m. at home, boys outdoor track vs. West Haven, Notre Dame-West Haven at 3:45 p.m. at West Haven High School, boys Tennis vs. career Magnet at 3:45 p.m. at home, and girls outdoor track at East Haven High School at 3:45 p.m.
