Five Things You Need to Know Today

The scoop on what's happening in North Haven, 5/17.

1.Today, the town will be holding a referendum on the annual budget. Residents can vote "Yes" or "No" on the $84,091,296 budget from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The addresses of the five voting districts are as follows:

  • District 1 – Mildred Wakeley Recreation Center – 5 Linsley Street
  • District 2 – Montowese Elementary School – 145 Fitch Street
  • District 3 – Ridge Road Elementary School – 1341 Ridge Road
  • District 4 – Green Acres Elementary School – 146 Upper State Street
  • District 5 - Clintonville Elementary School – 456 Clintonville Road

2. The Board of Education's rescheduled meeting from 5/12 will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex. On the agenda: the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 budgets, school lunch pricing, and technology. Look for coverage on Patch Wednesday morning.

3. The PTA of Clintonville Elementary school will come together for their monthly meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the school library.

 

4. Three varsity games today, away matches for Boys Golf and Girls Lacrosse, and a home contest for Girls Tennis at the North Haven Athletic Complex. for the weekly schedule of NHHS sporting events.
