Intense Heat Wave Settling In

Temperatures will be 90 degrees or warmer for the next several days.

If you can avoid being outside for the next several days, I would recommend it. An excessive heat watch has already been put in place for Hartford, Tolland and Windham Counties. This means that heat indices (how hot it actually feels outside) may be in excess of 105 degrees!

Today: Partly to mostly sunny skies. Hot and humid, with temperatures reaching the low-90s. Overnight lows will be in the upper-60s.

Thursday: Look for some patchy fog in the morning, otherwise mostly sunny. Conditions will remain hot and humid with temperatures pushing into the low- to mid-90s. Overnight lows will remain uncomfortable in the low-70s.

Friday: Continued patchy fog in the morning. Daytime conditions will remain hot and humid. The worst of the heat will come today, with daytime highs climbing into the upper-90s! Overnight lows in the mid- to upper-60s.

Saturday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance for an afternoon shower or thundershower. Highs will be easing off just a bit into the low-90s. Overnight lows in the upper-60s.
