More Heavy Rain Today

After over 2 inches of rain in some parts of Connecticut yesterday, we'll get another dousing of heavy rain today. Some relief is in sight!!!

With an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain possible today, the National Weather Service has extended its flash flood watch which remains in effect through this evening. 

Monday: Rain, may be heavy at times. A few rumbles of thunder are not out of the question. 1 to 2 inches of rain expected. Highs will be unseasonably cool in the low-70s. Overnight lows in the low-60s. 

Tuesday: Clouds with some lingering showers in the morning. Highs in the upper-70s. A few breaks of sunshine are expected by the late afternoon hours. Overnight lows will be comfortable in the low-60s.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy with a chance for an afternoon thunderstorm. Highs will rebound into the mid-80s. Overnight lows in the mid-60s.

Thursday: Expect partly cloudy skies with a very slight chance for an afternoon shower or thundershower. Highs will be seasonable in the low-80s.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with some light rain expected.  Possibly a rumble of thunder. Highs in the low-80s, with overnight lows in the low-60s.
