North Haven Fire: Busy Time Period for Local Firefighters
The North Haven Fire Department responded to a total of more than 700 calls during the months of February and March.
It has been a busy late winter and early spring for North Haven firefighters.
The local department answered a total of 348 incidents in February and 326 incidents in March, according to a post on the North Haven Professional Fire Fighters Association's Facebook page.
"Multiple serious calls occurred including a number of rollovers and we were challenged as everybody else was with the snowfall," the firefighters stated within their post.
Below is a rundown of only a portion of the calls the department responded to during that two-month time period:
- 6 Fires within structures with fire contained to room of origin
- 7 Car Fires
- 2 Brush Fires
- 6 Electrical Fires
- 49 Motor Vehicle Accidents
- 416 Medical Calls
- 8 Hazardous Materials Incidents
- 45 Service Calls
- 41 Good Intent Calls
- 50 Fire Alarms
- 17 Carbon Monoxide Incidents
- 2 Explosion/Overpressure
- 2 Special Incident
