After four days off due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy, North Haven schools will reopen tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 2. The last of North Haven's schools without power was restored earlier this afternoon.
The unscheduled days off will certainly have an impact on the previously scheduled last day of school – June 18, 2013 – and we haven't even seen snow yet.
Though the first night of the North Haven High School Drama Club's play, Ramshackle Inn, was cancelled, the show will go on tomorrow (full story to follow).
Are you ready for the kids to head back to school? They won't be back for long as there is no school again for students on Tuesday, Nov. 6 for elections. School is closed again the following week on Monday, Nov. 12 in honor of Veterans Day and the following week is Thanksgiving week with a half day on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and days off on Nov. 22 and 23. The next full week of school is scheduled for Nov. 26.
