North Haven Woman Sparks CT 'VegFest' in Hartford
Ani Turpan of vegan salad dressing producer Wholesome Creations focused the April 28-29 event on the entire vegan lifestyle.
The first-ever Connecticut Vegetarian and Healthy Living Festival later this month was spearheaded by the owner of ’s Wholesome Creations, Ani Turpan, who at a similar "VegFest" in Boston two years ago.
An article in the Hartford Courant said unlike other similar festivals, Turpan wanted to make the event in Connecticut, scheduled for April 28-29 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, focus on the entire vegan lifestyle.
The two-day event brings together experts on vegan and vegetarian living for a "whole body, mind and spirit" experience, featuring vegan chefs, whole foods producers, a yoga room, diet speakers, personal trainers and more. It is free and open to the public.
