On Tonight: I Get That A Lot, Mobbed and Happy Endings

What are you watching on Wednesday?

Wednesday, Jan. 4

I Get That A Lot, 8 p.m., CBS

Really? If Pamela Anderson is waiting on you at the dry cleaners, pretending not to be Pamela Anderson, are you going to believe it is not Pamela Anderson? I mean, I could see this working with Ty Pennington or Dr. Drew Pinsky, but Pamela Anderson? Others featured pretending to be celebrity look-alikes tonight are Jerry Springer, someone named Pauley Perrette and Apolo Ohno.

Mobbed, 9 p.m., Fox

Who doesn’t love a ? Well, me, for one, since they became as common and badly done as anything else we might find on YouTube (if you are going to flash mob in public people, at least practice). Of course Howie Mandel has turned it into a TV show, in which flash mobs help people tell other people things they have wanted to ell them for a long time and have been unable to. Tonight, “Howie and hundreds of strangers help a man reveal his feelings to his long-distance best friend.”

Happy Endings, 9:30 p.m., ABC

I tried. I did. I kept reading all these articles by critics saying how great and funny and hip and hysterical this sitcom is and so I DVRed a batch and sat down to be amused. Except I wasn’t. So I’m done.
