On Tonight: The Kennedy Center Honors, Zombieland and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

It's Tuesday — what will you be watching on your TV tonight?

Tuesday, Dec. 27

The Kennedy Center Honors, 9 p.m., CBS

This is one of my favorite shows of the year: “Entertainers receive recognition in the annual ceremony; this year's honorees include singer Barbara Cook, singer Neil Diamond, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, saxophonist Sonny Rollins and actress Meryl Streep; Caroline Kennedy hosts.”

Zombieland, 8 p.m., FX

Nothing says “the week between Christmas and New Year’s” more than this movie. I don’t like zombies one bit, and I like this. “Survivors of a zombie apocalypse use creative means to dispatch the undead as they make their way toward a rumored safe haven in Los Angeles.”

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, 6 p.m.,; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, 8:30 p.m., ABCFamily

The original with Gene Wilder followed by the Johnny Depp version – our heads might explode but I am mighty tempted to engage in this marathon.
