Report: Priest Indicted In Meth Dealing Ring Owned North Haven Adult Shop

Kevin Wallin, one of five men indicted Tuesday their part in an alleged methamphetamine distribution ring, is a former priest who purchased an adult video and sex toys store in North Haven, according to a CT Post report.

One of the five men indicted Tuesday by a federal grand jury for their alleged role in a methamphetamine distribution ring is a former priest who bought an adult video and sex toys store in North Haven, according to a CT Post report.

The newspaper reports that after leaving the priesthood, Kevin Wallin, 61, bought Land of Oz & Dorothy's Place, which is a smoke shop and adult novelty store that "offers a variety of adult toys, movies and gag gifts," according to its listing on North Haven Patch.

It is unclear at this time if Wallin still owns the North Haven shop.

'Struggling' Priest

United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut David B. Fein announced earlier this week that Wallin was one of five people involved in a methamphetamine distribution ring that saw three Connecticut men receive shipments of the drugs from two people in California.

The Post reports that investigators believe the North Haven shop helped Wallin "launder thousands of dollars in weekly profits" from the alleged drug ring.

According to the statement from the Bridgeport Diocese, Wallin— who is accused of receiving shipments of methamphetamine from two suppliers in California — was a priest on sabbatical from the who left in 2011 because he was "struggling with a number of health and personal issues."
