Strong to Severe Storms Expected This Evening

Warm, moist air accompanied by a passing cold front will help set the stage for a line of strong to severe storms this evening.

The Storm Prediction Center has put us under a slight risk for severe storms. This means that we have a 15% of seeing some severe weather (winds greater than 58 miles per hour, or hail larger and one inch in diameter). For more information please visit the Storm Prediction Center website at http://www.spc.noaa.gov/.

Today: Generally cloudy with a few breaks of sunshine. Highs will be seasonable in the low- to mid-80s. Humidity levels will be high so conditions will feel a bit uncomfortable. Look for storms to develop around the late afternoon and evening hours. Some may be severe. Overnight lows in the mid- to upper-60s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and warm. Highs in the upper-80s. Dewpoints will be lower so conditions will feel much more comfortable. Overnight lows in the low- to mid-60s.
