It's Going to be a Hot Fourth of July Weekend! [VIDEO]

High pressure will slide off the east coast today helping to bring warm moist air into North Haven for your weekend. A frontal disturbance will sweep through Sunday evening giving us some potentially strong storms.

To anyone trying to make 4th of July plans; it looks like that frontal disturbance will be off to our south and east by then so expect plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures! Get those grills cooking!!

Today: Mostly sunny skies with a very slight chance for an afternoon shower. Any precipitation will be very light. Highs will be seasonable in the low-80s.

Saturday: Partly cloudy with a very slight chance for an afternoon or evening thundershower. Temperatures will be on the warm side in the upper-80s. Overnight lows in the mid to upper-60s.

Sunday: Partly to mostly cloudy, hazy and hot. Highs near 90 degrees. With dewpoints in upper-60s, temperatures will feel more like the low to mid-90s.  Late afternoon and evening thunderstorms likely. Some storms my produce strong gusty winds and frequent cloud to ground lightning. Overnight lows in the low-60s.   

July 4th: Partly cloudy and gorgeous. Highs will be mild in the upper-80s. Overnight lows near 60 degrees.

Tuesday: Plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid-80s. Overnight lows in the low-60s.
