Memorial Day, May 31, is a holiday for federal, state and local governments and just about everybody else in the United States.
The following are CLOSED on Monday, and on other days this weekend, unless noted:
- Banks have the option of staying open on state and federal holidays in Connecticut but many choose to close.
- North Haven Town Hall and government offices
- Public schools
- Libraries: The North Haven Memorial Library will be closed Sunday (as usual) and Monday but open on Friday and Saturday.
- Post offices close on Monday but are open on Saturdays.
- State offices, including Department of Motor Vehicles offices, will be closed on Monday.
The following are OPEN over the weekend and on Monday:
- Restaurants
- Grocery stores
Other businesses: open at the owner’s discretion.
