What's Open, Closed for Memorial Day Weekend

Most government services will be closed on Monday, May 31.

Memorial Day, May 31, is a holiday for federal, state and local governments and just about everybody else in the United States.

The following are CLOSED on Monday, and on other days this weekend, unless noted:

  • Banks have the option of staying open on state and federal holidays in Connecticut but many choose to close.
  • North Haven Town Hall and government offices
  • Public schools
  • Libraries: The North Haven Memorial Library will be closed Sunday (as usual) and Monday but open on Friday and Saturday. 
  • Post offices close on Monday but are open on Saturdays.
  • State offices, including Department of Motor Vehicles offices, will be closed on Monday.
