Cycle Against Cancer to Benefit the CT Sports Foundation at North Haven Health & Racquet

REGISTER TODAY! Cycle Against Cancer is an indoor “spinning” fundraising event that will benefit CT cancer patients and their families through the Connecticut Sports Foundation (CSF). CSF was founded 25 years ago
and provides financial support to CT cancer patients and their families.

This event will take place at North Haven Health & Racquet on Saturday, October 20, 2012.

The spin portion of this event will take place in two sessions, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Each team will be provided one spin bike and will strive to raise a minimum of $1,000. Each team will decide who will spin for the designated amount of time during the 3-hour session. This will be a high energy day as we come together to raise money for cancer patients in need.

CSF provides financial assistance to CT families stricken with cancer for rent, mortgage, utilities, car payments, medical co-pays, food, medications, gasoline and transportation to and from hospital/treatment centers. Our goal is to allow them to focus on their treatment.

THE TOP FUNDRAISER
will earn two tickets to CSF’s Annual Celebrity Dinner & Memorabilia event on Friday, February 8th at Mohegan Sun and the opportunity to meet Mark Teixeira, STAR first baseman for the New York Yankees. For more information about CSF and the Annual Dinner event: www.sportsfoundation.org.

What makes CSF unique is that all dollars raised through the Cycle Against Cancer and all CSF events STAY within the State of CT.  Our largest allocation of grant support is in New Haven County.

Connecticut Sports Foundation (CSF) – history

Yankees, Cleveland Indian’s and Texas Rangers.  John lost a brother, sister and sister-in-law to cancer all before they reached the age of 40. Then, John himself was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease and won the battle to survive and CSF was born.
