Good Friday Day Camp

St. John’s Episcopal Church, located on the Green in North
Haven, announces that on April 18th, a Good Friday Day Camp will be offered for
all children in the community ages 4 and up. The children will take a journey
through Holy Week, learning about God’s love with stories, crafts and games.
The program begins at 9:00 with a dramatic presentation, and activities will
continue until 3:30 p.m.  Each child is
asked to bring a bag lunch, and snacks will be provided.  The cost of this day camp is $10.00 plus a
non-perishable food item to be donated to North Haven Food Pantry.  The Rev.
Matthew Lincoln, Rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church, says, "This is our
10th year offering a Good Friday day camp to the children in the
community.  Since so many parents have to
work that day but schools are generally not in session, it is a wonderful way to
serve the needs of families. We consider Good Friday Day Camp an opportunity to
teach the faith and the theology of our Easter celebrations while also meeting
a practical need."  For registration
and more information, call 203-239-0156.
