Holiday Show At Maple & Main Gallery

The 36 artists at Maple & Main Gallery are presenting a three-part opening and reception on Friday, November 15th in Chester village center. 200+ works of new original art and sculpture will be on exhibit for holiday shopping. There will be a range of small works and a special array of 4" and 5" square little gems around the holiday tree to bring home for your own gifting delight.

North Haven artist, Linda Marino, will be showing her newest works.  Linda's talent with still life and pet portraits may be of special interest to those of you wondering what unique gift you can give to a loved one.   http://www.lindasmarinoart.com/

Can't make it to the reception? Works will be available throughout the holiday season.  The gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday starting at 11AM each day and closing at 5PM.

In addition, there will be a "Snow Show" looking toward the classic winter  beauty of Connecticut fields and marshes under blankets of snow.  Barbara Hageman has done a series of local barns that are on exhibit in the Small Works gallery.

Finally, there is a silent auction of small works.  It runs through the weekend to benefit the Soldiers' Boxes effort that packs up goodies and toiletries to send to our troops in Afghanistan as part of the Clinton-based Shoreline Women’s Club seven-year-long project.

Cindy Stevens, one of the M&M  gallery artists, spearheads this effort, and proceeds from the auction will help her fill these boxes for the holidays. The rest of the Gallery artists are joining by providing silent auction paintings intended to raise funds to fill those boxes to the brim with holiday cheer and practical items to remind the troops of home.  The auction starts Nov. 13 and ends Sunday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m.
