Rachel's Challenge Evening Community Event ~ Wednesday, October 9th

Rachel's Challenge is an organization dedicated to the legacy of Rachel Joy Scott, the first student whose life was taken from the tragic events at Columbine High School in 1999. Her parents and family sought to honor her memory by encouraging others to live as Rachel did in spreading kindness and compassion and touching the lives of others in a positive way.

Through Rachel's Challenge, North Haven Middle School students will be asked during an all school morning assembly on October 9th to accept five challenges. These challenges include:

  1. Looking for the best in others
  2. Daring to dream big
  3. Seeking positive influences
  4. Engaging in small acts of kindness
  5. Starting your own chain reaction to leave a legacy of compassion

The purpose of the evening community event is to offer the opportunity for members of the North Haven community (open to those aged 6th grade and older) to experience and share in the powerful presentation and to support our students as they embrace these challenges. Please join us for this very special evening event. Together we can help to ignite a chain reaction of kindness and compassion within our community.
