Traditional Irish Music Session

Irish tin whistle player Kathleen Conneely will join the P.V. O'Donnell Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann chapter session on Thursday, June 19, St. Gabriel Parish Hall, 26 Broadway, Milford, 7:45 pm.  Musicians, dancers, singers and guests are welcomed. BYOB.

Kathleen is known for her expert playing as well as her lyrical, flowing style. She comes from a famed London music family. In 1992 she emigrated to Chicago, where she played with Liz Carroll and John Williams, among other Windy City musicians. One reviewer of her album, The Coming of Spring, notes that Kathleen delves into the heart of a tune, perhaps the most sacred duty of any Irish traditional instrumentalist. He adds that her phrasing of each tune is a thing of wonder, and her album could easily be a master class in Irish tin whistle playing.
