It's Almost Time to Say Goodbye to Your Elf!

According to the story, the 'Elf on the Shelf' returns to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.

With tomorrow being Christmas Eve, there is a lot to remember to do. Because of my intense hatred of grocery shopping, I have put that off and will now join the masses to make sure we have food for guests tomorrow night and breakfast on Christmas morning.

Of course, then there's all of the preparation for. Leaving a  to go with the milk and cookies, making sure Santa knows whose stocking is whose and reminding him what each of the kids reqested.

And now, on top of all of this, we need to make sure that the kids say goodbye to . He's been with us for a few weeks, keeping an eye on their behavior and hiding in sneaky places.

According to the story, the elf returns to the North Pole on Christmas Eve so we'll have to also make sure that Twinkle is ready for his final journey...and that the kids know he won't be hiding on Christmas morning so they can say goodbye! 

It has certainly been an adventurous new tradition and the . And aside from the times Twinkle has woken us in the middle of the night, we've enjoyed him, too!
