During the evening’s ceremonies Getman was honored with the MS Hope Award, which is presented to an individual in the MS community who plays a significant role in helping improve the quality of life for thousands of Connecticut residents, bringing hope and help to those facing physical or emotional challenges.
For nearly three decades, Getman has been raising funds and awareness to support the Connecticut Chapter, resulting in more than $300,000 raised cumulatively in the past twenty years. Getman, whose wife Toddie was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1975, is president of Soundview Capital Management Corporation, located in New Haven. T
