Kathy Ellen Newman Olson
Kathy Ellen Newman Olson, 66, of Northford passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Hospital of St. Raphael.
Born in New Haven on March 3, 1945; daughter of the late Edmund F. and Margaret Stevens Newman. Kathy had worked as an Accountant for Specialized Packaging Co.(SPC) for many years until her retirement and was a member of the Hamden Elks Lodge.
Sister of Kenneth E. Newman (Cheryl) of Niskayuna, NY and Kurt Allen Newman (Laura) of Springfield, MO. Life partner of Ronald Sabbatino of Northford. Aunt of Kathryn, Boston, MA, Koren, Clifton Park, NY, Kiersten, Queens, NY, Katherine and Kallei both of Springfield, MO.
Private funeral services will be conducted from the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in the North Haven Center Cemetery.

Angelo R. "Andy" Masotta
Angelo R. "Andy" Masotta of North Haven died September 27, 2011 in the Hospital of St. Raphael. He is the husband of Sharon Figueroa Masotta.
Andy was born in New Haven August 29, 1931 a son of the late Angelo and Mary Angelini Masotta and was a Navy Veteran. He was an electrical contractor and the owner of ARM Electric. Andy was a Past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus Fr. Regan Council.
He is the father of Mark Masotta of New Haven and Michel (Gail) Masotta of East Haven. Step-father of Tammy (Julie Schlessel) Aiello of Guilford, Stephanie Aiello and Anthony "Bubba" (Debbie) Aiello of North Haven. Husband of the late Carmel Esposito Masotta and brother of the late Mary D'Amora and Rose D'Amora. Grandfather of Nicholas Masotta, Natasha Jones and Travis Forizs. Step-grandfather of Madison Aiello, Jacob and Julian Schlessel.
Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5-8pm at the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 11 Wooster Place. Burial will be private.

Samuel Docknevich, 90, of North Haven passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the CT Hospice, Branford.
Husband of Helen Ciesla Docknevich. Born in North Haven on January 5, 1921; son of the late Stanley and Telka Rudaketvich Docknevich. Mr. Docknevich was a farmer all of his life which was his enjoyment and passion, especially working in his green houses and raising numerous shrubs from clippings. He also had worked for the former Federal Paperboard Co. Mr. Docknevich enjoyed and supported the Dominican Nuns of Guilford and his greatest love was that of his family.
Father of Samuel (Laurie) Docknevich of Hopkinton, MA, Deborah (Richard) Howe of North Haven and the late Richard J. Docknevich. Grandfather of Rebecca Anne Howe, Kate Patricia Docknevich, Rachel Deborah Howe and Eric Samuel Docknevich. Predeceased by siblings Michael & Thomas Docknevich, Mary Ludovico and Anna Less.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 pm.

Lena Sessa Consiglio
Lena Sessa Consiglio 84, of East Haven wife of the late Andrew Consiglio passed away on September 27, 2011 in the Hospital of St. Raphael.
Mother of Vincent (Victoria) Consiglio of East Haven, Andrew Consiglio of North Haven and the late John Consiglio. Sister of Rachael Poirier of Southington and Joseph Sessa of New Haven and the late Salvatore, James, Thomas and Andrew Sessa. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Daughter of the late John and Concetta Laurentano Sessa. Prior to her retirement in 1966 Lena was a seamstress for the former Colonial Quilt Company.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven SATURDAY morning at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 9:30 A.M. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call on FRIDAY from 4pm to 8pm.
