Cashing in Coins for Change: Connex Credit Union Donates to the North Haven Rotary Club
North Haven, Conn. (August 18, 2013) – As a part of its philanthropic giving program, Connex Credit Union recently donated $704.15 to the North Haven Rotary Club. The donated funds were raised from the fees collected by Connex’s coin-cashing machine in North Haven. Connex charges a five percent fee to members and a seven percent fee to non-members and donates the fees collected to caring organizations in the community.
The North Haven Rotary Club was chartered on October 16, 1941. The Rotary club includes business and civic professionals in leadership roles whose principal focus is on service to others, as well as promoting fellowship among the membership, while seeking the betterment of the community, both locally and throughout the world.

“The North Haven Rotary Club is very grateful for the generous donation from Connex Credit Union. Since our club’s focus is on service to others, we continually seek the betterment of the community, both locally and globally,” said North Haven Rotary Club President Debbie Volain. “Although we truly support numerous charitable causes, some examples of our charities that this gift will likely support include the local Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, the Town Library, and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.”
