Alleged Snow Blower Thief Arrested by North Haven PD

Joseph DiBenedetto was arrested Tuesday.

North Haven police arrested Joseph DiBenedetto, 25, of New Haven on Tuesday in connection with the theft of four snow blowers and two salt spreaders from a Universal Drive contractor in March.

DiBenedetto was arrested after a NHPD detective identified him as a passenger in a vehicle travelling on Middletown Avenue.

He was charged with burglary in the third degree, larceny in the third degree, criminal mischief in the third degree and conspiracy to commit burglary.

DiBenedetto is also wanted on two failure to appear in court warrants in addition to a New Haven narcotics charge.

The suspect was held on a $10,000 bond and was arraigned Wednesday morning.
