Komisarjevsky Witness Lists May Be Released Today

Seventh juror for the Cheshire home invasion trial is a woman from Hamden.

Who is on the for the trial of Joshua Komisarjevsky, the second Cheshire home invasion defendant?

The and other news outlets might soon know as Superior Court Judge Jon C. Blue has scheduled today for the release of the witness lists.

Blue granted a motion by The Courant for release of the lists on March 23, but stayed the order to give a chance to have it reviewed by another court.

His co-defendant, , was convicted of felony capital murder and other charges in a separate trial last year and sentenced to death row.

According to testimony in the Hayes trial, Komisarjevsky put his daughter, then age five, to bed and read her a story before police say he went on later that night to commit the Cheshire home invasion crime.

His defense lawyers will not say if they would call his daughter as a witness during the penalty phase of the trial.

Jury selection will also continue today. On Tuesday, defense attorneys and prosecutors picked a , reportedly a woman from Hamden. She is the fifth woman on the jury.

Blue said the lawyers must pick 12 jurors, six alternates and three backup alternates for the jury. The and may last three months.
