Man Arrested for First-Degree Sexual Assault

Thomas Limauro of North Haven was arrested Wednesday.

Thomas Limauro, 50, of Franklin Street in North Haven was arrested Wednesday on one charge of first-degree sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault in the third degree, and one count sexual assault in the fourth degree.

According to a statement issued by Detective James Merrithew of the NHPD, the two victims of the assaults are acquaintances of Limauro.

Following his arrest Limauro posted $60,000 bail to secure his release. He will appear in court on March 24.

Sexual assault in the first degree is a class A or B felony, which, if the suspect is found guilty, could carry a sentence of up to 25 years in prison.
