Marcarelli Introduced as New Deputy Fire Chief
Following Tuesday executive session, Marcarelli appointment announced at Wednesday meeting.
Lieutenant David J. Marcarelli, an eighteen-year veteran of the North Haven Fire Department, has been selected to replace Frank Gersz as the town's deputy fire chief.
Marcarelli's appointment was revealed Tuesday night following an executive session of the Board of Fire Commission, with a public introduction taking place last night during the regular meeting of the assembly.
Fire Chief Vincent Landisio has expressed his support for the Marcarelli, who beat out two other candidates for the deputy position.

Last night's meeting commenced with an additional executive session to discuss personnel issues within the department.
Marcarelli will assume his new post following the retirement of Gersz Friday.
