North Haven Firefighters to Get 'Buzzed' for St. Baldrick's

Members of the North Haven Fire Department will have a new look for a good cause as of March 1 — when they shave their heads to support the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

Nine members of the North Haven Professional Fire Fighters Association Local 2987 are going beyond the regular calls for help on March 1 as they will have their heads shaved to support the St. Baldrick's Foundation

Firefighter Scott Garbati is the team captain and he will be joined by fellow firefighters Anna Filosi, Ben Fox, Scott Martus, Tom Haggerty, Ronald Prisco, Scott Golde, Richard Filosi and John Bysko

The group will have their locks buzzed because, according to St. Baldrick's website, "kids with cancer often lose their hair during treatment, and we stand proudly bald beside them. But the true goal–to cure childhood cancer–will be accomplished because, while shaving, we raise funds for lifesaving childhood cancer research."
