North Haven Police Tase Self-Stabbing, Possible Grenade-Holding Man

The man, who has yet to be identified, drove through a garage wall on Victor Road.

A man described as suicidal and possibly in possession of a grenade was tased by North Haven police Friday after he drove his car through a garage wall.

On Friday morning at around 7, police responded to a burglar alarm on Victor Road, only to find out that a man had driven his vehicle through a garage wall at the property, according to The North Haven Citizen. The man had a knife and had already stabbed himself several times, and after he refused to put the knife down was tased by a North Haven police officer, according to The Citizen.

Connecticut State Police had previously reported that the man was suicidal and was possibly in possession of a grenade, although no explosives were found at the scene, according to the newspaper. The man's name was not released to the paper as the investigation continues.
