North Haven Police: Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Middletown Avenue

A 47-year-old female was attempting to cross Middletown Avenue near Quinnipiac Avenue Wednesday night when she was fatally struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on the busy North Haven roadway, according to police.

The following is a press release from the North Haven Police Department.

On January 23, 2013 at 6:45 p.m. the North Haven Police Department received several 911 calls reporting a vehicle striking a pedestrian on Middletown Avenue in the area of Quinnipiac Avenue.  

Upon arrival of emergency services it was found that a 47 year old female was attempting to cross Middletown Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle traveling Northbound. 

The female succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The South Central Connecticut Regional Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.

Why hasn't there been anyh followup infor on this. Who was killed and who hit her? Why hasn't this been reported?
